Did you know that Fife is the 5th most Instagrammed region in the UK? When you visit this beautiful county you will soon understand why it is so widely photographed.  It is a stunning photography destination! Within Fife, the East Neuk with its sandy beaches, craggy coastline, natural harbours and delightful picturesque villages offer endless photography opportunities.

Working together Pittenweem Properties and John S Pow Photography are hosting an intimate photography workshop from Pittenweem in the heart of the East Neuk.  Over the weekend of 5th to 7th April, 2019 the workshop will be based in Anchor House, an exclusive premium property with stunning views over the village and the surrounding coastline. The four bedroom property is finished to the highest standards with many luxury features such as bespoke dining kitchen, balconies and retractable full height windows (to make the most of the stunning views) opening on to a large terrace with outdoor seating. A recent guest wrote,

“We have just spent the weekend in this simply stunning house! The house takes full advantage of the views out to sea, you can watch the fishing boats coming in and out from either of the two balconies or just take in the spectacular view! We were a group of eight but the house was just the perfect size! It never felt crowded! The kitchen is amazing and the open plan nature of the property allows a very social setting! Kitchen was well equipped, living space was comfy, bedrooms were clean and spacious. Pittenweem is a lovely village and the coastal walk to Anstruther is a must! We have every intention of returning to this wee gem! Thank you!”

Full details of the property are at www.pittenweemproperties.com/anchor-house or email enquiries@pittenweemproperties.com

Accommodation is on a room only basis with breakfast pack and snacks/light refreshments provided and special rates have been negotiated with nearby restaurants.

The workshops will be led by Fife landscape photographer John Pow. John’s photographs have appeared in a range of local and national publications. He has been taking photographs in Fife, since selling cameras as a Saturday boy almost 40 years ago.  After a career in Fife Constabulary, John took up landscape photography as a full time career and now offers a range of training and coaching workshops. Recent workshop participants have said,

“He's an excellent teacher and you just know he loves what he does. Definite 5 star recommendation from me”.

“I can honestly say that I learned more in the few hours with him than I have done in the last year pottering about on my own! If you want to learn more about photography John is a fantastic teacher. Can’t recommend him highly enough”.

Samples from John’s portfolio can be seen at www.johnspowphotography.com

The workshop is aimed at people who want to improve their landscape photography skills and will concentrate on practical and bespoke camera handling skills and post production techniques. More experienced photographers are also welcome and may care to use John’s experience and knowledge of this wonderful location to develop their own portfolio.
